  • In the section “Les actualités à Paris” I can’t help mentioning the reopening museums and current expositions there. In one of my recent articles, I’ve already talked about the best Parisian museums to reopen in 2021. The time had come.

    After several months of closure due to the health crisis, we all are again able to rediscover the museums of the City of Paris in safety. From May 19, you can go there from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Remember to make a reservation though! It is the “must-do” today...


  • Hopefully, this summer Paris will open the welcoming arms for all visitors. In the meanwhile, why not have a virtual trip to the city of light? No plane ticket required. Only a wish for an adventure and a couple of films. The ones that were set in Paris, breathe Paris and reflect best its so special atmosphere. That’s why here is my recent collection of films that will make Paris come to you, or vice versa. Ready? Off we go...


  • Previously outside Paris, we have already discovered the troglodyte habitat, the Château Gaillard in Normandy, and have visited the best of the best of Chartres. This time I propose to discover the most beautiful ruin of France: the Jumièges Abbey. No doubt, France is a real home for Abbeys. There are 82 currently active abbeys and monasteries here: 41 for men, 35 for women, and 6 mixed. For the weekend out, I’ve chosen the path of Abbeys. With 3 extraordinary ones to visit on my way (about 30 min distance from one another by car): St.-Martin-de Boscherville, Le Bec-Hellouin, and of course Jumièges Abbey. The last one has captivated and charmed me once for all. And you’ll find out why...
